BCMCS Return to In-School Lessons
Good evening BCMCS Families,
After extensive analysis into our past exposures, as well as taking in any and all new information attained since, we are pleased to report that we are confident in safely welcoming our In-Person students back into the building on Monday, November 23rd.
While we are eager to return to In-Person instruction, we please ask that you take precautions when sending your students back to school. Recognize that In-Person students have the opportunity to learn remotely, for which they should opt to do so, if they meet any of the following criteria:
The student is exhibiting Symptoms of COVID-19 or resides in a household where someone is exhibiting symptoms;
The student is waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test;
The student is a close contact of someone who tested positive for COVID-19;
The student traveled outside of Pennsylvania within the last 14 days. As per state guidelines that went into effect today, Pennsylvanians visiting other states are required to have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to their return to the commonwealth, or to quarantine for 14 days upon return to Pennsylvania. This does NOT apply to people who commute to and from another state for work or medical treatment. COVID-19 INFORMATION FOR TRAVELERS
If a student who remains home does not feel well enough to participate In Person learning, please email their teacher to let them know that they will be absent. If your student is currently fully remote there will be no change to their schedule.
We must all continue to work together to create the best AND safest possible learning experience for our students. Our students and teachers have shown the remarkable ability to collaborate and connect through multiple modalities, with the ability to fluently navigate from one platform to another, and we look to' re-navigate' once again this Monday.
Also note that Monday is the request deadline for any student who wishes to move from our Virtual Platform to that of our In Person. There is no guarantee with regard to such request, but each will be given consideration at the start of our 3rd Marking Period as described in our Reopening Plan.
Should you have any COVID-related questions, please do not hesitate to contact our school nurse at 215-428-6700, ext. 2.
We wish you and your family good health and a safe upcoming holiday season.
